Cruise report - day 7 (Castaway Cay)

It's the best day of the year - Castaway Cay day!!!

We got off the ship pretty early and found a great spot on the beach, right under an umbrella.

We invested in snorkle equipment (less than $50 + using gift cards - and it cost $50 to rent equipment at Castaway Cay), so I was all excited to try it out. Unfortunatly the water was FREEZING!!! After about 20 minute of 'getting used to it', we finally managed to submerge in the water.

We found the Nautalis, something we didn't find the previous trip. We gave up on finding the hidden mickey (we found it before). We were getting tired and hungry.

At 11am Cookies BBQ opened - and Jonathan put every different piece of meat on his plate. I was saving room for the best thing ever - cookie dough ice cream!!!

After lunch we walked around a little bit. We found the game room - which is an outdoor area with ping poing, pool, giant Connect 4 and a bunch of other stuff. I wanted to rent bikes for an hour in the afternoon, but Jonathan was having none of that. It was nap time for him!

So I road a bike around the island for an hour. I really wanted to check out the 3 story observation tour. It was pretty cool. In hindsight I could've walked to it - but that would've taken about 10X as long.

At 4pm we boarded the ship. We just missed the Bahama post office for Castaway Cay stamps - they closed at 4pm! Nuts! Oh well, another reason why we should go back!

More on day 6 tomorrow!
