Richard Petty, aka: The King, threw out the first pitch at a Devil Rays game a couple weeks ago. Luckly Jonathan found out about it ahead of time, so we were armed and ready for autograph hunting.
Easily enough, he hosted an autograph session before the game. Richard had colorful 8X11 photos of him and his car that I got signed.
Jonathan had him sign his little Pixar car of The King.
(1998 called - it wants its catch phrase back)

I'm not a huge NASCAR fan myself, but grew up with it on in my house every Sunday afternoon. I have been to a race though. That's pretty neat and I LOVE that Jonathan got his CAR signed, great idea!! You guys just meet everyone, so fun!!

I like Nascar, although not a diehard fan or anything.
Can't say I would ever want to watch cars make left turns,but I have friends that tell me all I have to do is see it once live and I would change my mind.......maybe if it was more of a Ben Hur kind of thing with spikes on the hub caps.....but I agree...you guys meet all kinds of cool people
OMG, is richard petty like 90 years old or something!!!! LOL
I have never seen a recent picture of Richard Petty without that cowboy hat and those glasses? I wonder if those items are keeping his head together? LOL
Cool about Jonathan getting his CARS car signed.
